Art Center of Estes Park

The Art Center of Estes Park will use funds received from the Rotary Duck Race to further the mission of the center by coordinating the educational activities of the center. Our mission is to support and promote 40 regional artists and to present opportunities for education in the visual arts for artists, youth and adults in the community.

A variety of art classes are provided throughout the year for young children and adults to enhance their artistic ability. Funds are always needed for class supplies.

Educational programs on various art topics are scheduled for the community several times a year bringing well known artists or art historians to our community.

Eight featured artist exhibitions are held annually to promote a variety of art mediums. In August, the Art Center sponsors the Estes Valley Plein Air Juried show. This show is open to any artist who paints using the plein air technique, in all fine art painting mediums. The show event - a festival of outdoor painting - from August 19 through August 26 culminates in the gala opening reception. At this event, judges will announce approximately $11,000 in awards and gift certificates. The exhibition and sale will continue at gallery through September 24. Scheduled events of the paint out festival include Plein Air Paint Out, Nocturne Paint Out, and a Quick Paint & Auction. Community members are encouraged to watch the artists paint at all of these events. This show has brought national recognition to the Art Center and the town of Estes Park as a leader in the world of art.
