It is very exciting to say that after participating in the 2022 Duck Race, Caring Canines has been able to start a therapy dog program for the Estes Park School District. In January 2023, we began working in the middle and high schools.
Working with therapy dogs help students focus, follow directions, learn empathy, patience, responsibility and most of all, gain self-confidence. All of this transfers back to the students working well in their classroom and with other people in their lives.
Caring Canines needs more Estes Park volunteers with sweet, loving dogs to attend our training classes this spring.
