As the only wildlife rehabilitation center on the entire Front Range from north of Pueblo to the Wyoming border caring for birds, waterfowl, and mammals, Greenwood Wildlife is unique and an incredibly valuable resource. The goals of Greenwood since its inception in 1982 have been two-fold: rehabilitation of wildlife, including the treatment and release of sick or injured wildlife and orphaned animals, and education of the public to prevent or minimize human-wildlife conflict and provide humane solutions when such encounters occur. In 2024 over 522 wild animal intakes came from Larimer County alone.
